Nine-day-old robotics-data token faces insider-dump allegations; the team denies selling team tokens
Axis Robotics describes itself as a data network on Base where people control simulated robots to produce training data for Physical AI. The AXIS token launched on 21 October 2026. On 28-29 October, on-chain investigator ZachXBT alleged that insiders sold tens of millions of AXIS from a team-linked wallet. Axis denies that team or investor tokens were sold and blames an OTC counterparty. We found no regulator warning or lawsuit, but the token is very new, usage figures are self-reported, and we found no published audit in the material reviewed.
| Promised: Launch an open data-contribution network on Base, with claimed 5.5M+ trajectories and 200K+ contributors | Axis says it launched on Base in March 2026 and reports these figures on its own blog. Independent write-ups say claims about customers, reproducibility and data rights remain unverified, and that benchmark evidence is self-reported.unclear |
| Promised: Roadmap Phase 2 (Q3 2026): 'V2 closed loop + global rollout', 'Axis V2 launched, post-training tasks live' | The docs list this phase for Q3 2026. In October 2026 Axis announced a 'Sim Dataset V2 Release', which fits the roadmap theme. We found no independent confirmation of the V2 rollout.unclear |
| Promised: Team and private-investor tokens are locked: 12-month cliff, then linear monthly unlock over 24 months; fixed 1B supply | The docs and explainers state this schedule. After ZachXBT's allegations (28-29 Oct 2026), Axis said team and investor allocations remain locked in vesting contracts co-managed with Binance. It said the tokens sold came from the ecosystem allocation, which was part of the initial circulating supply. The allegation and the denial conflict, and we could not independently resolve them.unclear |
